Meituan releases LongCat-2.5, a 1.6-trillion-parameter model for long coding jobs

Meituan, the Chinese delivery company, released LongCat-2.5 on Monday: 1.6 trillion parameters with about 48 billion active per token, handling images and text together, trained with large-scale reinforcement learning on whole codebases, and with failures from real agent runs turned into training tasks. It is available through Meituan's chat service and API. Weights on GitHub and Hugging Face are "planned to follow," with no date; Meituan's newest open model on Hugging Face is still LongCat-2.0 from July. No benchmark scores came with the release.
