Uber says four rides were booked by AI agents during its busiest week of October

Uber handled about 320 million trips and orders in Halloween week, and four of the rides came through an AI agent, the company said on its earnings call. Agents placed about 500 Uber Eats orders. "It is very, very early and very limited traction that we are seeing so far," CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said, adding that booking a ride takes about 50 seconds in the app.

DoorDash said last week it had received only a few hundred agent orders. Every assistant company is talking to Uber, Khosrowshahi said, and he expects agents to add demand. Four in about 320 million rounds to zero, on a task people already finish in under a minute. SourcesB
