Anthropic agrees to buy roughly $250 million of Fractile inference chips that do not ship until 2027, and the London startup enters talks to raise about $600 million at a $6.5 billion pre-money valuation, six times its May price.

Bloomberg reported the round talks and the initial chip agreement. Fractile was founded in 2022 by Oxford roboticist Walter Goodwin and raised $220 million at about $1 billion in May, led by Accel, Founders Fund and Factorial Funds.
