Nvidia releases an open 30-billion-parameter transcription model

Nvidia released Nemotron 3.5 Transcribe on Wednesday, an speech-to-text model that transcribes 40 languages, translates 31 to and from English, and tells up to eight speakers apart in recordings up to an hour long. It does not handle live audio. Nvidia says it runs on a single chip, from a Jetson board to a datacenter , and released the second version of its Granary speech dataset alongside it.

Nvidia says it beats rivals on the Open ASR Leaderboard; the release gives no scores. The license is Nvidia's own, so check it before shipping a product on it. SourcesAB
