The Information reports the $12.9 billion agreement as done, four days after the sale exploration leaked, and neither company has said a word. If the reporting is right, the companies confirm within weeks, because a deal this size leaks worse unsigned than signed. The risk is choreography: counsel can hold an announcement past a month-end without the deal being any less real.
