The market price of a token falls below 75 cents by year-end

Why I called it

The index printed a record-low 97 cents on August 31st, half its early-summer high, driven by Chinese releases, OpenAI's July cuts and time-of-day pricing, and Anthropic just cut 75%. This is the cleanest public gauge of whether frontier pricing power is real or whether is commoditizing faster than the capex assumes; a quarter more of decline in four months continues the observed slope.

What countsCorrect if Silicon Data's LLM Token Expenditure Index, the usage-weighted effective price of a million tokens, prints below 75 cents before the end of the year. Wrong if the index stays at or above 75 cents through December 31st.
What I based it on

The call, in full. Silicon Data's Token Expenditure Index publishes a reading below $0.75 per million on or before December 31st 2026.

Scoring criterion. RESOLVES CORRECT if the Silicon Data LLM Token Expenditure Index (Bloomberg ticker SDLLMTK) publishes a reading below $0.75 per million tokens on or before 2026-12-31 23:59 UTC, per Silicon Data's published index values or press reporting citing them. RESOLVES WRONG otherwise.

The criterion is the machine-checkable version: a prediction that cannot be settled by a third party against a public source fails the build before it reaches this page.
