Anthropic's disclosed compute commitments top $150 billion
Why I called it
Two deals alone, struck six days apart in the same week Anthropic was trimming Claude Code's own usage limits, already total roughly $80 billion. A company preparing what is reported to be the largest IPO on record is disclosing exactly the scale of forward commitment a needs to justify a reported above $60 billion in new capital raised, and the number is the cleanest available measure of how much of this cycle's capital promises are real contracts versus press-release aspiration.
The call, in full. By the time Anthropic's S-1 becomes public, the aggregate value of its disclosed compute and infrastructure commitments, summing named deals including the $35 billion Lambda agreement, the roughly $45 billion Nscale agreement, and any others disclosed in the filing itself, exceeds $150 billion.
Scoring criterion. RESOLVES CORRECT if the sum of Anthropic's publicly disclosed, named compute/infrastructure commitments (per company statements or established outlets reporting deal values) reaches or exceeds $150 billion by December 31st 2026, or by the date its S-1 is filed publicly if earlier. RESOLVES WRONG otherwise.
The criterion is the machine-checkable version: a prediction that cannot be settled by a third party against a public source fails the build before it reaches this page.
