Krishnan is not confirmed to run the labs' standards body
Why I called it
Google, OpenAI and Anthropic have only approached Krishnan; no formal launch, membership structure or confirmed leadership exists yet. Hiring the policy adviser who said in June there would not be "an FDA for AI" to run the labs' own FDA-shaped body is a specific enough claim to test, and self-regulatory bodies proposed at this stage have a poor record of landing their first choice on the announced timeline.
The call, in full. Sriram Krishnan does not become the confirmed chief executive of the proposed Frontier AI Standards Agency, or its launched successor under any name, by March 31st 2027.
Scoring criterion. RESOLVES WRONG if, by 2027-03-31 23:59 UTC, Sriram Krishnan is named or confirmed as chief executive of the Frontier AI Standards Agency or its launched successor body, per company or body announcement or credible reporting. RESOLVES CORRECT otherwise.
The criterion is the machine-checkable version: a prediction that cannot be settled by a third party against a public source fails the build before it reaches this page.
