Micron reports at least $61.5 billion next quarter
Why I called it
The latest reported demand makes management's next-quarter revenue midpoint plausible even while financing risks increase elsewhere in the chain. A near-term revenue test gives the bullish memory thesis a chance to fail without relying on forecasts of next year's prices.
The call, in full. Micron reports fiscal first-quarter 2027 revenue of at least $61.5 billion in its first official results release published by January 31st 2027.
Scoring criterion. RESOLVES CORRECT if Micron's first official earnings release or filing reporting fiscal Q1 2027 results, published by 2027-01-31 23:59 UTC, states recognized revenue of at least US$61.5 billion. RESOLVES WRONG otherwise, including if no such release or filing is public by the deadline. Later revisions do not count.
The criterion is the machine-checkable version: a prediction that cannot be settled by a third party against a public source fails the build before it reaches this page.
