Firmus announces a $1 billion private round by January 31st
Why I called it
Public investors refused a $30.6 billion on $51 million of revenue, but the private side of this market, Nvidia, Blackstone and Coatue among its backers, has funded every comparable buildout without blinking. The company told Reuters through an involved person that a private round precedes a Nasdaq attempt. The test is whether private AI-infrastructure capital still clears where public markets will not.
The call, in full. Firmus announces a private financing round of at least $1 billion, as committed or closed capital, by January 31st 2027.
Scoring criterion. RESOLVES CORRECT if by 2027-01-31 23:59 UTC Firmus or a named lead investor publicly announces, or at least two established outlets report as agreed or closed, a private financing of $1 billion or more. RESOLVES WRONG otherwise.
The criterion is the machine-checkable version: a prediction that cannot be settled by a third party against a public source fails the build before it reaches this page.
