South Korea will prosecute students who cheat on its college exam with AI glasses
South Korea's education ministry said Thursday it will seek criminal charges against test-takers caught using AI-enabled glasses on the national college entrance exam, which takes place November 19th, and proposed raising the ban on retaking it from one year to three. An inspector will be assigned to every test site, and the ministry is considering radio detectors for next year.
AI glasses went on the exam's banned list in July, and the ministry says universities have already caught them in their own admissions tests. A device that looks like eyeglasses and answers questions in the wearer's ear is a new problem for a proctor who checks for phones. SourcesB
