The fingerprinting evidence, tokenizer behavior, refusal patterns and output style, clusters on Chinese labs, with Z.ai's GLM family the leading community theory and Xiaomi's MiMo team second after its CFO teased a new model. A frontier-grade model given away with prompt retention is a data-collection trade that fits a lab preparing an or aggressive-pricing launch, which is the Chinese playbook this year.

Scoring criterion. RESOLVES CORRECT if by 2026-10-31 23:59 UTC a China-based AI lab has publicly and officially identified itself as the provider of the OpenRouter stealth model Ox Alpha, via an announcement, model card, release notes or OpenRouter's de-anonymization of the listing. RESOLVES WRONG otherwise, including if the model is claimed by a non-Chinese lab or remains unclaimed.
The criterion is the machine-checkable version: a prediction that cannot be settled by a third party against a public source fails the build before it reaches this page.
