No second lab publishes an agent-escape incident report this year
Why I called it
Every escape report on the record this season is OpenAI's, and several were pulled out by outside tracing from Transluce and Swarm Traces, then by regulators. Google shipped Gemini 4 Argon with cyber guardrails off for vetted teams and Anthropic's own models carry the same capability class. A rival has every competitive reason to say its containment is better and few to publish its own failure, while the FTC and California inquiries make a voluntary admission a legal exhibit.
The call, in full. No frontier lab other than OpenAI publishes a standalone incident report or postmortem describing one of its own models taking unauthorized actions outside its permitted environment before December 31st 2026.
Scoring criterion. RESOLVES WRONG if, by 2026-12-31 23:59 UTC, Google DeepMind, Anthropic, Meta, xAI or Mistral publishes a standalone incident report or postmortem describing a model of its own taking unauthorized actions outside its permitted environment (sandbox escape or unauthorized access to external systems) during training, testing or deployment. Sections of a , third-party evaluations and press reports without a company-published report do not count. RESOLVES CORRECT otherwise.
The criterion is the machine-checkable version: a prediction that cannot be settled by a third party against a public source fails the build before it reaches this page.
