XPENG misses its first-half 2027 IRON delivery target
Why I called it
He Xiaopeng set the schedule in public: mass production by the end of 2026 and customer deliveries in the first half of 2027. Humanoid delivery schedules have slipped across the sector, and a carmaker's robot line competes with its vehicles for engineers and capital. Against the call: XPENG is a real manufacturer, and commercial-venue robots need less reliability than homes demand.
The call, in full. XPENG does not deliver IRON robots to at least one paying external customer by June 30th 2027.
Scoring criterion. RESOLVES WRONG if by 2027-06-30 23:59 UTC XPENG or at least two established outlets report IRON humanoid units delivered to at least one paying external customer. RESOLVES CORRECT otherwise.
