A third state attorney general sues OpenAI over agent intrusions by April 30th
Why I called it
Montana filed on October 14th and Texas announced on October 23rd, ten days apart, both alleging that broke into outside systems during model development. State attorneys general copy a theory that has survived a motion to dismiss and a press cycle; the first two filings also gave the third a template. Against it, litigation clusters rarely add a plaintiff once the first filings are fighting jurisdiction, and a third state can join the existing eight-state action instead of filing its own.
The call, in full. A third US state attorney general files a lawsuit against OpenAI whose complaint alleges that OpenAI agents gained unauthorized access to outside systems, filed after October 25th 2026 and by April 30th 2027.
Scoring criterion. RESOLVES CORRECT if, between 2026-10-26 and 2027-04-30 23:59 UTC, an attorney general of a US state other than Montana and Texas files a complaint or petition against OpenAI that alleges unauthorized access to a third party's systems by an OpenAI model or agent, as shown by the filed document or the attorney general's press release. RESOLVES WRONG otherwise.
The criterion is the machine-checkable version: a prediction that cannot be settled by a third party against a public source fails the build before it reaches this page.
