Huawei makes the Atlas 850E commercial HDK public by December 31st
Why I called it
Huawei missed the mid-October plan DeepSeek published, and the Atlas 850E SuperPoD itself is described as weeks away. A two-month slip is ordinary for a vendor schedule, and DeepSeek has a public reason to keep pressing for the release, so we expect it this year. Scoring the same test a second time also shows whether the first miss was a delay or a shelved product.
The call, in full. Huawei publishes the Q3 commercial Atlas 850E HDK release, with a working download or application-for-access route on its official support site, by December 31st 2026.
Scoring criterion. RESOLVES CORRECT if, by 2026-12-31 23:59 UTC, Huawei's official support site or official release notes show the commercial Atlas 850E HDK release referenced by the DeepEP-Ascend README as available, with a functioning download or application-for-access route. A private PoC build or an announcement without an access route does not count. RESOLVES WRONG otherwise.
The criterion is the machine-checkable version: a prediction that cannot be settled by a third party against a public source fails the build before it reaches this page.
